The following information has been provided by the New Jersey Department of Transportation
Route 40/Black Horse Pike/Route 322 is scheduled to have single lane closures in both directions tomorrow night between Cardiff Plaza Drive and Tilton Road in Egg Harbor Township, as a pavement preservation project advances in Atlantic County.
Beginning at 8 p.m. tomorrow night, Thursday, July 24 until 6 a.m. Friday, July 25, the left lane on Route 40/Black Horse Pike/Route 322 eastbound and westbound is scheduled to be closed from Cardiff Plaza Drive to Tilton Road. The lane closures are necessary to place construction barrier and implement a shift traffic. At least one lane will be maintained on Route 40 in both directions overnight. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays while driving through the work zone.
By 6 a.m. Friday, July 25, the left lane on Route 40/Black Horse Pike/Route 322 eastbound and westbound will be reopened, and all lanes will be shifted toward the right shoulder. The traffic shift is necessary to install Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) in the median. This pattern is expected to remain in place for approximately two months.
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
