Post Date:10/11/2025 11:16 AM

The following message is from the Atlantic County Office of Emergency Management.

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning for our area from 8 am on Sunday, October 12 through 8 pm on Monday, October 13.

A powerful N’oreaster threatens to bring significant tidal and coastal flooding Sunday and Monday that may result in impassable roads with strong wind gusts of up to 60 mph that could bring down trees and power lines.

A State of Emergency begins at 10 pm this evening for the entire state in preparation for this storm. This does not include any travel bans at this time.

Residents who live in flood prone areas should move their vehicles to higher ground in advance of high tides.

Motorists should exercise caution on roadways and avoid driving through flood waters.

Please continue to monitor local forecasts and heed the warnings and instructions of public officials.

In the event of a life-threatening emergency call 9-1-1. For non life-threatening emergencies contact your local Office of Emergency Management.
