The Veterans Services Officer works closely with other veteran and human services agencies and is the county's primary contact point for veteran issues. The Veterans Services Officer provides assistance, referrals and case management services to military veterans and their family members regarding their legal rights and eligibility for services and service-related benefits. The Veterans Services Officer is located in Northfield to help provide "one stop" shopping for veterans and their families.

Veteran Home Repair and Modification Program

Are you a disabled Veteran in need of repairs? Do you live in Burlington, Mercer or Atlantic Counties? You may qualify to receive repairs at no cost to you through our grant with the Veteran Home Repair and Modification Program!

O.C.E.AN. Inc. Veterans Transportation Program

The program provides a monetary credit in the veterans EZ Ride account that is used by the veteran to book Uber/Lyft rides to and from medical appointments, prescription pickups, grocery/retail shopping, military, organizational, social and any other community events. A spouse/caregiver can ride with the veteran. Veterans must own a cell phone to utilize the program. This program is at no cost to the veteran. The program cannot be used to go to an establishment whose primary mission is to serve alcohol or to gamble.

Application must be completed in person and takes EZ Ride three to four weeks for enrollment. The program now includes Atlantic County residents who are honorably discharged or retired and meet income guidelinesPlease bring a copy of your DD Form 214 which will be placed into your file and a government issued identification card to verify your identity.
