Intoxicated Driver Resource Center - IDRC
12 & 48 hour education/screening programs
12 Hour IDRC
The Atlantic County Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) is responsible for providing the two-day, 12-hour educational/screening program for individuals convicted of various statutes pertaining to operating under the influence, refusal of the breathalyzer, underage drinking, drunk boating, and fatal accidents. Based upon screening criteria, individuals may be referred to a substance use treatment agency for further evaluation. If referred for treatment, the IDRC is responsible for monitoring treatment compliance. For more information contact Addiction Services at 609-645-5932, Option 1.
Attendance is mandatory as it is court ordered in lieu of jail; however, jail time cannot be substituted for IDRC participation. The IDRC is responsible for reporting non-compliance to the sentencing court and the New Jersey Intoxicated Driver Program. (IDP)
