Criteria for Successful Bidder

The successful Bidder must meet the following criteria:

  1. Offer employment to, and shall retain, all Non-Administrative Staff for a period of two (2) years (subject only to a bona fide dismissal for good cause), at the same salary and with equal or better health care benefits as currently receiving.  
  2. Provide interviews, in good faith to all Administrative Staff personnel for the possibility of continuing at their current positions in the employ of successful Bidder
  3. Prohibit the removal or displacement of current residents (also including military veterans) residing at Meadowview except for allowable discharges permitted under the New Jersey Department of Health Guidelines.  The removal, displacement, or relocation may only occur due to (i) death of a resident, or (ii) his or her knowing and voluntary request, or (ii) the knowing and voluntary request of the resident’s legal guardian.
  4. Maintain the veteran’s wing in Meadowview with a minimum of thirty (30) beds, which shall always be available and reserved solely for military veterans.

Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 180-bed long-term care and specialty care facility, one of only three remaining in the state that is currently county owned and operated. It is located at 235 Dolphin Avenue, Northfield, designated as Block 150, Lot 1 (to be subdivided into proposed Lot 1.01).

A public auction will be held for the proposed sale and transfer of ownership of real property and facilities known as Meadowview following two public hearings, the first being held on June 8 in Northfield and the second on June 24 in Mays Landing.   The minimum bid for consideration is $23.5 million.

Interested bidders who are unable to meet this criteria will not be considered qualified buyers.

Before you are provided with access to documents related to the property, including property appraisal, financial statements, survey, floor plans, assets, etc., you must complete the acknowledgment form below. Once this has been successfully submitted, you will receive a link with access to this information.
