Courts Unit

Officers in the Court Unit provide personal protection for Superior Court and Central Municipal Court Judges and oversee police and medical services in the criminal courthouse. Their duties include security screening, apprehending wanted individuals, investigating crimes on-site, and responding to medical emergencies. The Court Unit ensures safety for court staff, the public, and incarcerated individuals. They handle arrest and processing of individuals with active warrants and escort all inmates for their court appearances, ensuring they are present for initial Advisements, Motions, Trials, and Sentencing. Additionally, they transport inmates from the Detention Center(s) to the appropriate courts.
