Local Advisory Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse
The Local Advisory Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (LACADA) provides guidance to the county on policies, program needs, and priorities related to comprehensive prevention, treatment, and recovery services. The council also advises on the planning, development, and implementation of new programs and facilities, and reviews existing programs.
In accordance with the requirements of the Chapter 51 grant, the State mandates that the council include at least two (2) members who are recovering from alcohol use disorder (2) members who are in active recovery from substance use disorder.
